«LOVE UKRAINE, IT IS UNUSUAL, WE HAVE AN UNUSUAL COUNTRY,
AND THE PEOPLE ARE WONDERFUL»
The aim is to publicize the testimonies of eyewitnesses of the russian-Ukrainian war and large-scale russian aggression against Ukraine. Research method: interviews based on a pre-prepared questionnaire.
Today, it is important to record and document the testimonies of eyewitnesses of russia's war against Ukraine, in order to involve them in publishing in the columns of professional publications of Ukraine in the future and introduction into scientific use. Territorially, the respondents represent the city of Luhansk and the Luhansk region.
Through the prism of interviews with respondents, primarily from among Jews, we learn about the specifics of military everyday life, about living conditions and way of life, hostilities and the occupation of Luhansk region, value orientations during the war, etc.
Respondents provided unique information about their childhood, education, professional activity and personal life; prerequisites and the beginning of the russian-Ukrainian war; most trusted sources of information; loss of housing and evacuation; everyday life in a new place; volunteering; activities of the Jewish community before and during the war; preservation of Jewish traditions in difficult conditions; the number of Jews in Luhansk Region and Kyiv; unlimited faith in Victory and much more.
