The special issue of the «Journal of Ukrainian History» is dedicated to the memory and 70th anniversary of the birth of the famous Ukrainian historian, Ukrainian scholar, doctor of historical sciences, professor of the Department of Archival Studies and Special Branches of Historical Science Yuriі Mykhailovych Soroka. The collection contains articles that based on archival documents and published materials covering various aspects of national and world history from ancient times to the present day. In particular, there are examined the questions of socio-political, socio-economic and cultural development, some historiographical problems, history of science and technology and so on.
