The periodical “The Journal of Ukrainian history” is a peer-reviewed open-access scholarly journal that publishes original research articles, documents and source materials, chronicles, expert reviews and surveys, the results of dissertation research, as well as materials on the proceedings and outcomes of academic conferences, seminars, round tables, and other scholarly and educational events.
The primary aim of the journal is to highlight current issues in history, historiography, archeology, Source studies and special historical disciplines, local history, ethnology, interethnic relations, history of science and technology, national policy and cultural development.
The journal also seeks to provide a platform for communication among scholars conducting research in various fields of ethnology and historical studies both in Ukraine and abroad, as well as to offer young researchers, postgraduate students, and students the opportunity to master the methodology of preparing and publishing scholarly articles.
The objectives of the journal include the dissemination of scholarly knowledge in the fields of history among both researchers and the general public; the cultivation of appropriate historical awareness among readers; the promotion of tolerant and friendly social coexistence through the dissemination of reliable academic information.
