TASHAN COMMUNITY IN 2022–2024: LIFE AND ACTIVITIES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE FULL-SCALE RUSSO–UKRAINIAN WAR (BASED ON MATERIALS FROM THE NEWSPAPER VISNYK PEREIASLAVSHCHYNY)
The newspaper Visnyk Pereiaslavshchyny is a regional publication; therefore, its pages contain a significant amount of information about local life, including that of territorial communities. The article examines the main aspects of life in the Tashan United Territorial Community during the period from the beginning of the full-scale invasion to early 2025, when the newspaper ceased its activity. The full-scale war dramatically changed the lives of residents of the Tashan Community. On the very first day of the invasion, a territorial defense unit was established, and security checkpoints began to be organized. At the same time, considerable attention was given to addressing the needs of internally displaced persons. Gradually, however, life began to return to more regular conditions. An important factor in the functioning of the community is the formation of the local budget. The main budget-forming enterprises of the Tashan Territorial Community include LLC Eridon (accounting for more than half of budget revenues), PE Eurosem, PE Plant Agro, LLC Mais, PE Zemlia Pereiaslavshchyny, PE Sosnova, Farm Enterprise Kolosok, LLC Plemzavod Kolos, Farm Enterprise Voloshka, and SP LLC Nyva Pereiaslavshchyny. The majority of budget funds are directed toward improving living conditions and the welfare of community residents. Premises for the operation of the municipal utility enterprise, established prior to the full-scale invasion, were renovated, and specialized equipment was purchased. Road repairs are being carried out in all villages of the community. The community leadership has ensured the functioning of the educational process in schools and preschool institutions: buildings have been renovated and equipped with shelters, generators, and alternative heating systems, and funds are allocated for children’s meals. Part of the budget is also directed toward healthcare services, public safety, and cultural development. The Tashan Territorial Community, together with the Studenyki Community, supports the operation of a territorial social center. Significant budgetary resources are allocated to supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assisting local residents serving in the military, and supporting their families.
Key words: Tashan United Territorial Community, Pereiaslav Region, modern russo-Ukrainian War, «Visnyk Pereiaslavshchyny», community budget, support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
